2011 Fall Ostomy Workshop
On October 27, 2011 the Baltimore Affiliate WOCN held their 3rd annual Ostomy Care: Best Practices Workshop. This workshop is geared toward home health care, long term care, and acute care nurses.
Our goal is to provide the nurses with the most evidence based approach to ostomy care and facilitate a smooth transition from one care setting to the next.
The workshop was sold out a month prior to the date with 81 attendees. We had 7 vendors present and several of our members created posters for the level of the attendees.
25 of our affiliate members volunteered their time to help in many aspects of the preparation, but mostly for the break out and hands on competency.
We are very grateful for having such a cohesive affiliate.
