News from the Blue Ridge Region

The Blue Ridge Affiliate is an informal group of nurses and other providers whose scope of practice includes wound, ostomy and continence care. Our territory includes Charlottesville, the surrounding counties and the entire Central Virginia region. Our group includes nurses who work in acute care, long-term acute care, skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes, home health care agencies and out-patient wound clinics, as well as community members working with long-term care facilities and graduate students in MSN programs.
We meet three times a year, in January, May and October, on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:30 pm.
Our next meeting is on May 15, 2012. All nurses and other healthcare providers working in the field are welcome to attend our meetings, regardless of WOCN membership status and/or level of certification.
