The Eastern Shore WOCN is a local affiliate of the MAR which is dedicated to providing wound, ostomy and continence care to the patioents of the eastern shore. Our members are a group of nurses who work in hospitals, outpatient centers and long term care facilities spanning from Smyrna, DE to Salisbury, MD.

Member Updates:
Carole Dye sitting for her CWOCN exams this month and will become an active member of ESWOCN. Deborah Passwaters is an RN at Atlantic Shores LTC facility in Millsboro, DE and she is going to obtain her CWOCN within 1 year of hire. Spoke with her 10/26/11 and hope that I can precept her through her training.
Conference Updates: 2012 ESWOCN hostess in OC, MD - Planning started
Meetings: Last Thursday of the month - This month deferred due to conference.

Needs from the affiliate group:
- More participation and energy with meetings - limited conference call attendance due to schedules of members.
Christmas Party- Planned for December 9th at Abbotts Grille in Milford, DE. Abbott Nutrition to sponsor. Hope to see all of the members there for a great dinner and CEU education.
