Dear Ann and Mid-Atlantic Region WOCN,
I am truly honored and humbled to receive this scholarship from the Mid-Atlantic Region Wound Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society. I thank you all so much!!!! I am so very excited and my heart is overjoyed!!!!
I will not be able to attend the conference at Hunt Valley this year due to being in the midst of my classes for Ostomy and Continent Diversions. I do hope to attend next year! Please see my picture attached. Sincere thanks for this honor and I can't wait to learn more and contribute all that I can in the field of Wound, Ostomy and Continence.

Dear Ann and Scholarship Selection Committee,
Thank you so much for selecting me as the recipient of the MAR-WOCN scholarship. I am honored to be chosen and am grateful for the help that receiving this scholarship provides. I was excited to make the decision to pursue my WOC Nurse certification and this provides generous affirmation of my decision. I am grateful for the generous scholarship to offset costs of tuition, allowing me to focus on my classes without finances hanging over my head.
I am excited to begin my career as a WOC Nurse. I am most looking forward to the role that education has in my practice. In the couple of months that I have worked on the wound care team at George Washington University Hospital. I have seen many opportunities to educate not only patient, but also physicians and floor nurses. I have also learned a lot from patients about how they manage their own ostomies. I look forward to the new relationships I will build in my career and am excited to gain expertise in a field I am passionate about.
Thank you again for this generous gift!
Sincerely,
Jenny TenBrink
